NOMINATION NOTICE FOR:
2017 EXECUTIVE BOARD ELECTIONS
Nominations for the 2017 Fraternal Order of Police United States Park Police Labor Committee Executive Board Election are open for nomination, for the following offices:
- Chairman
- Vice Chairman
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Executive Chief Steward DC
- Executive Chief Steward NY
- Executive Chief Steward CA
The term of office is from a date in December 2017 chosen by the Chairman-Elect, until a date, to be determined, in December 2019. (Note: Candidates for Executive Chief Steward must be assigned to the area covered by the position. Any member may run for Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer, or Secretary) No member shall be eligible for nomination unless he/she has been a member in good standing for at least one year prior to August 15th of 2017.
Members in good standing may nominate themselves or any other eligible member in good standing. The Election Committee shall second the nomination once they determine that the member and the nominee is in good standing. The Committee will accept nominations from eligible members by U. S. Mail; email; direct request; telephone request and by any other manner of communication. Additionally, the Committee may nominate candidates for office on its own motion.
The Election Committee prefers that nominations be emailed.

Your nomination correspondence must include:
- Name of the member placing the nomination
- Name of the nominated individual
- The position your nominating that individual to fill.
- The contact information for the nominated individual: private mailing address, private telephone number, and private email address
- If you are nominating another individual you must include your contact information: private mailing address, private telephone number, and private email address.
Nominations must be received, by the Election Committee, no later than Monday, October 23, 2017 at 2400 (Eastern Time).
The Election Committee will then meet and determine the slate of candidates for the election. You must accept the nomination in writing within 48 hours of being notified by the Election Committee.
The election will be held by mail ballot using the United States Mail on dates to be announced in a mailing and on the usppfop.org website.
